Medical/Dental/Vision/VEBA Benefits

guideMedical coverage is one of the most important benefits that the District offers you and your eligible family members. The District pays the full monthly premium cost for eligible employees in paid status in monthly salaried positions who work half-time or more and all of their eligible dependents. Employees in a job share assignment pay a pro-rata share dependent upon hours worked. Please carefully evaluate your family circumstances before selecting medical plan coverage. San Diego Unified belongs to the California Schools Voluntary Employee Benefits Association (VEBA) which offers additional resources and services to benefits-eligible district employees. 

The plans offered for 2021 will not change in 2022.  The UHC Performance HMO Network 3 (see below) is an additional plan offering for 2022.  Our comprehensive Benefits Information Guide is available below along with information about each plan offered.
