LCFF Form and Payment Options

MEALS AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS FREE OF CHARGE

All students, regardless of their family's income or school of attendance, have the option to eat school meals free of charge. This means the district will not be collecting meal applications this year. However, the district will be collecting LCFF Alternate Income Forms for all students. These LCFF forms help the district collect the maximum possible funding from the state to support all our schools. An announcement will come soon from your child’s school about submitting the form via the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

A La Carte Sales

Students at participating middle and high schools have the option to purchase snacks and beverages in addition to their school meals.

Payment Options

Due to the ever-changing COVID-19 regulations, PIN numbers to access PayPAMS accounts will not be used at the beginning of the school year.  Currently, cash to purchase a la carte items will be the process.  Each school may phase in at different times so please communicate with your student and their school.  We will provide updated information here as the phased rollout of the use of PIN numbers evolves.

San Diego Unified uses a service called PayPAMS, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service allows you to make payments to your child's cafeteria account using a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card. This service has additional features that allow you to receive e-mail reminders when your child’s account is getting low or to set up automated payments. You can register to utilize these other features on PayPAMS without making online payments. Deposits made on PayPAMS can take up to three (3) school days to process.

To register for PayPAMS

  • Go to PayPAMS and click on the "Register Now" button on the home page.
  • Select your state, then select your school district.
  • Create a username, a password and enter your contact information.
  • Add children to your account.
