Visiting teachers are assigned by an automated computerized system called SAMS, which uses both an interactive voice response and internet based system. SAMS contacts you by phone to offer assignments. It is important to notify the help deskif your phone number changes as soon as possible.

Do to the most recent update to SmartFindExpress, you will notice only a few changes to the system. However, the most notable change is the reCAPTCHA security login. As a mandate of California state law, the Early Childhood Education Department is requiring all Child Development Center Assistant substitutes, all Child Development Center Assistant-Head Start substitutes and Children's Center Clerk substitutes to obtain and submit vaccination records of immunizations for: Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles. Evidence for immunizations of Pertussis and Measles will be kept on file, while the Influenza vaccination must be submitted annually (between August 1 and December 1 of each year).
